Bradley Emmanuel Beal Sr. (born June 28, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. Nicknamed “the Big Panda,” Beal has become one of the league’s premier guards. He is a three-time NBA All-Star and earned a spot on the All-NBA Third Team.
Beal entered the NBA when the Washington Wizards selected him third overall in the 2012 draft. During his 11 seasons with Washington, he became the franchise’s second all-time leading scorer and earned All-Rookie First Team honors in 2013. After joining the Phoenix Suns in 2023, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in July 2025.

Early Life and Education
Beal grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, as the son of Bobby and Besta Beal. He attended Chaminade College Preparatory School, where he averaged 32.5 points per game his senior year. Furthermore, he led the U.S. team to gold at the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship and earned MVP honors. In 2009, Beal committed to the University of Florida, where he played one season with the Gators before declaring for the NBA Draft.
NBA Career
Washington Wizards (2012–2023): Beal quickly impressed as a rookie, earning NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 2013. Despite facing injuries, he established himself as a top scorer. For example, he scored a career-high 60 points in 2021. Additionally, Beal became a three-time All-Star and earned an All-NBA Third Team selection in 2021.
Phoenix Suns (2023–2025): After the Wizards traded him, Beal joined the Suns alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Unfortunately, injuries limited his impact, and he moved to a bench role in early 2025 before the Suns waived him.
Los Angeles Clippers (2025–present): Shortly afterward, Beal signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Clippers, including a player option for the 2026–27 season.
National Team Career
Beal initially committed to the 2020 U.S. Olympic team. However, he had to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19. Despite this setback, he has expressed interest in joining future Olympic teams.
Personal Life
Beal married Kamiah Adams in 2020. They have three sons: Bradley “Deuce” Beal II (2018), Braylen Beal (2019), and Braxton Beal (2022). Beal comes from an athletic family; all four of his brothers played college football. Moreover, he excelled academically, earning a 4.0 GPA in high school and studying pre-med biology in college.
Legacy and Philanthropy
Beal actively supports youth sports development. He runs the Bradley Beal Elite AAU program and acquired naming rights for the Beal Center in Missouri. He also mentors young athletes in his hometown of St. Louis, helping them pursue their basketball dreams.
