Davante Lavell Adams (born December 24, 1992) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Known for his precise route running, strong hands, and scoring ability, Adams has become one of the league’s most dominant receivers. He played college football at Fresno State, where he earned second-team All-American honors in 2013, before being drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Early Life
Davante Adams was born to Douglas Adams and Pamela Brown in East Palo Alto, California. He is one of four children. His father, a retired police officer, now teaches criminal justice and driver education, while his mother is a retired educator.
At Palo Alto High School, Adams played football as a two-way starter and led his team to a CIF state championship. As a senior, he recorded 64 receptions for 1,094 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also excelling on defense. He lettered in basketball all four years, averaging 9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game as a senior. Adams received offers from Fresno State, California, Hawaii, and San Diego State, ultimately committing to Fresno State.
College Career
2011: Redshirt Year
Adams redshirted his freshman year at Fresno State, giving him time to adjust to college football and prepare for a larger role the next season.
2012 Season
In his first playing season, Adams quickly became a key contributor under new head coach Tim DeRuyter. He finished the year with 102 receptions for 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading the Mountain West Conference in all three categories. He earned Mountain West Freshman of the Year honors and was named Hawaii Bowl MVP after a 13-catch, 144-yard performance.
2013 Season
Adams continued to shine in 2013, catching 131 passes for 1,719 yards and 24 touchdowns, leading the nation in receptions and touchdowns. He set Mountain West and Fresno State records for career receptions and touchdown catches despite playing only two seasons. After the season, Adams declared for the 2014 NFL Draft, forgoing his final two years of eligibility.
NFL Career
Green Bay Packers (2014–2021)
The Packers selected Adams with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Initially playing behind Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, Adams quickly emerged as a reliable target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
