Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is dancing the Griddy all the way to the bank. After signing a four-year contract extension with the Vikings in 2024, Jefferson became the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, and his net worth continues to climb.
“This deal is the one I’ve been waiting for since I was a little kid,” Jefferson said in a video message when signing the extension. “To be given a gift to play football at the highest level, it’s a blessing, an honor.”
Despite being lightly recruited out of high school, Jefferson turned LSU into his launching pad, proving doubters wrong and setting records that carried into his NFL career.

Early Career & College
Jefferson played college football for LSU, where he spent his freshman year mostly on the bench. His breakout season came in 2019, when he caught 111 passes for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns, helping LSU win the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Although he was a first-round draft pick in 2020 (22nd overall), Jefferson was the fifth wide receiver chosen, behind Henry Ruggs III, Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, and Jalen Reagor. He used this perceived slight as motivation.
“I just felt like I was one of the top receivers,” Jefferson said in 2021. “Being the fifth receiver picked felt disrespectful… I wanted to prove everybody wrong.”
NFL Contract & Salary
Jefferson signed a four-year, $140 million extension in 2024, including $110 million guaranteed and a nearly $37 million signing bonus. The deal keeps him with the Vikings through the 2028 season, with free agency beginning in 2029. His average annual salary is $35 million.
His rookie contract (2020–2023) was for $13.1 million, but Jefferson turned down a $28 million-per-year offer in 2023, believing he was worth more — a decision that proved correct.
Earnings & Endorsements
Jefferson earns millions off the field as well. According to Forbes (2025), he made $4 million in endorsements over the past year, partnering with brands such as Bose, Oakley, Pepsi, Snickers, and Pop-Tarts.
Lifestyle & Assets
- House: Jefferson recently listed his Minnesota townhome for $439,000, choosing practicality over extravagance.
- Cars: He owns several luxury cars, including a Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe and gifted a Range Rover to his parents via FaceTime in 2020.
Career Achievements
Since joining the Vikings in 2020, Jefferson has averaged 98.3 receiving yards per game (an NFL record) and 6.5 catches per game, ranking second among all receivers in their first four seasons.
Despite his record-breaking success, Jefferson has not yet won a championship, though he continues to praise his team for its culture and camaraderie.
